Hunt’s shortlisted for Blackmore Vale Business Awards

Sherborne based Hunt’s Foodservice have been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s Blackmore Vale Business Awards. The awards were established by Clair Pengilly, Publisher at Blackmore Vale Media to reveal and celebrate the excellent and achievement of local businesses.

Hunt’s are one of three finalists for the PKF Francis Clark Family Business of the year award. Hunt’s operate a unique business in the heart of Sherborne with five generations of the Hunt’s family having been committed to making the business a success of their era. Three generations of the Hunt’s family are still actively involved in the business today. From their 96 year old chairman to their 24 year old Operations Director.

The Woods Furniture Business Growth Award also has Hunt’s in their line-up of finalists. The last two years has seen Hunt’s grow to be one of the largest independent catering wholesalers in the South West. Investment into sales and operations resource along with acquisition has seen their customer base and distribution area expand.

Hunt’s is also represented by Cheryl Coats, a finalist for the Battens Solicitors Best Employee Award. Cheryl is Hunt’s Retail Buying Manager and oversees all the purchasing of retail products for the Hunt’s businesses. Cheryl is a major team player and always puts the success of the business before her own needs.
