Hunt’s celebrate 25 years of Caterforce

Hunt’s Foodservice was a founder member of Caterforce when the organisation formed back in 1991 and Caterforce have hosted a Gala Dinner Dance at London’s Natural History Museum to celebrate its 25th Anniversary.

Hunt’s employees, past and present attended the celebrations along with hundreds of suppliers and industry leaders who have seen the Caterforce group grow to comprise eight of the country’s largest independent wholesalers with a combined turnover of over £500 million.

The 25th Anniversary event was also in aid of FareShare, the food redistribution charity. With a prize draw and a charity auction, the guests’ generous contributions led to over £48,000 being raised for FareShare.

Nick Redford, Caterforce Group Managing Director, comments: “We are excited to mark 25 years of the Caterforce Group. The event has been a great opportunity to celebrate with our members and suppliers, but to also give something back. FareShare is a wonderful organisation, which supports charities and community groups to redistribute surplus products from the food industry. We are proud to have partnered with them on this exciting initiative.”

Richard Hunt, Managing Director at Hunt’s Foodservice comments; “Celebrating 25 years of the Caterforce group demonstrates the strength independent, family run wholesalers have within our industry. It was fantastic to celebrate with the people who established the organisation 25 years ago and those who are driving the businesses forward today. We raised an incredible amount of money for FareShare which is such a great charity and will help make a difference to those in need.”
