Hunt’s sponsor dairy exhibition at Sherborne Museum

Sherborne Museum is an independent, volunteer run charity in the heart of the town. The museum has re-opened for 2016 to showcase new exhibitions and a new natural history room.

The museum has focused an exhibition on the history of Sherborne’s dairy industry. Over the next 10 months, an overview of Sherborne’s dairy industry along with a display of manufacturing and commercial artefacts will be on display. Hunt’s Foodservice has sponsored the exhibition and donated historic artefacts.

Richard Hunt, Managing Director of Hunt’s Foodservice Ltd comments; “I am delighted to support Sherborne Museum with their new exhibition. Hunt’s have been in Sherborne for over 100 years and we play a key role in the history of the town. The Museum have done a fantastic job of telling the story of Sherborne’s dairy industry and it’s going to be enjoyed by many throughout the year.”

Museum fundraiser, Luke Mouland, said, “The museum really is at the heart of the local community and we greatly appreciate the support we receive from local businesses who help us to keep the town’s rich heritage alive for future generations. It has been such a pleasure to work with Hunt’s to bring this exhibition together, which will tell an important part of Sherborne’s industrial past.”
